ESOGU Geological Engineering Department, which was established in 1994-1995 academic year and started graduate education in the same year, accepted its first undergraduate students in 1997-1998 academic year with 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor and 2 Assistant Professors.

With a history of nearly 30 years and nearly 750 graduates, our department ranks among the top Geological Engineering Departments in our country.

The Department of Geological Engineering is located in two different areas as main building and laboratory. The main building houses the administration, faculty rooms and classrooms, while an independent building is allocated for the department's laboratory applications.

The most remarkable aspect of our department is that despite the limited staff and laboratory facilities, the faculty members of the department draw a successful graph in terms of scientific research performance. Our department continues its education with 6 Professors, 2 Assistant Professors, 3 Doctoral Research Assistants and 1 Research Assistant.
